What The Federal Supply Schedule Is & How It Enhances Med-National, Inc.

Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) Contract #V797P-4199a was awarded to Med-National, Inc. for Professional and Ancillary Healthcare Staffing Services on August 16, 2001 by the Veterans Administration National Acquisition Center in Hines, IL. This FSS Contract was the first of its type awarded by the Veterans Administration for Medical Services. The pricing identified in this FSS is for fully qualified General Dentists, Registered Pharmacists, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, Registered Dental Hygienists, Certified Dental Assistants, Dental Laboratory Technicians, and Registered Medical Assistants.

In March 2004, we added several new specialties to FSS Contract #V797P-4199a to further take advantage of Med-National, Inc.'s corporate capabilities. The following additional providers may now be obtained from Med-National, Inc.: General and Family Practice Medicine Physicians (SIN 621-001), Registered Nurse Practitioners (SIN 621-025 J), and Physician Assistants (SIN 621-030). We are a SBA 8(a) Program Participant.

All of these Professional and Ancillary Healthcare Services may be easily and quickly obtained by any Federal Medical Activity using Federal Supply Schedule Contract #V797P-4199a. These services may be ordered for long-term contracts (one year or longer), short-term contracts (six months to one year), "locum tenens" or temporary contracts. Med-National is a small, disadvantaged, minority woman owned company.

Initial Offerings

Med-National is a GSA Advantage contract holder! Our services may also be obtained through the government's Ebuy system!

Contracting and Ordering Activities may order the services of the above Professional and Ancillary Healthcare Personnel for performance at locations throughout the Continental United States (CONUS), Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, South Korea, and the Philippine Islands. Ordering Activities may send Task Order Requests to Med-National, Inc. asking for a quotation. You may also read more about federal government vendors at http://www.gsaadvantage.gov.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The contract period is August 17, 2001 through August 16, 2006. There is also one five (5) year option period for this FSS Contract which will extend the contract through 2011.

  2. Payment Terms: 0.5% discount if paid within 12 days of invoice; 0.25% discount if paid within 18 days of invoice; and, net invoice amount due 30 days from date of invoice.

  3. The Government Commercial Credit Card (IMPAC) is accepted. No discount is allowed.

  4. Minimum Order/Assignment of $9,600 or 4 weeks at 40 hours per week.

  5. Service Coverage: Domestic Locations include anywhere in the 48 contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Overseas Locations include Seoul, South Korea and the Philippine Islands.

  6. Medical Liability Insurance: $1 million per incident; $3 million aggregate amount is required for Non-Personal Services Task Orders.

  7. Net Prices for Non-Personal Services and Personal Services Contracts are awarded including terms for overtime and on-call rates.

Provider Requirements

Med-National, Inc. is required to provide "prime source-verified credentials" validating the required levels of training, education, and experience as specified in the Task Order for each Provider ordered. The following minimum general requirements apply to each Professional or Ancillary Healthcare Person ordered under this FSS:

SIN 621-026 (a) General Dentists:
Non-Personal or Personal Services for General Dentists holding Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degrees who hold at least one current, unrestricted dental license from any U.S. State, Territory, or Possession and who have current BLS.

SIN 621-033 Dental Related Services:
Dental Hygienist: Non-Personal or Personal Services for Registered Dental Hygienists who are graduates of an ADA accredited dental hygiene school who hold a current valid license in one of the U.S. States, Territories, or Possessions and who have current CPR.

Certified Dental Assistant:
Non-Personal or Personal Services for Dental Assistants who are certified as a Dental Assistant/Technician and who have current CPR.

Dental Laboratory Technician:
Non-Personal or Personal Services for Dental Laboratory Technicians who are graduates of an accredited technical school and have 36 months experience in the preceding 48 months and who have current CPR.

SIN 621-001 General or Family Practice Physician:
Non-Personal or Personal Services for General Medicine or Family Practice Physician holding Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree and who hold at least one current, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. State, Territory, or Possession and who has current BLS Certification.

SIN 621-053 (i) Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA):
Non-Personal or Personal Services for Registered Nurses holding Certification in Nursing Anesthesia who are graduates of approved Nursing Anesthesia Programs who hold at least one current, unrestricted license from any U.S. State, Territory, or Possession and who have ACLS and BLS or CPR.

SIN 621-054 (j) Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner:
Non-Personal or Personal Services for Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioners holding a diploma from an accredited School of Nursing with a Master’s Degree in Nurse Practice and who holds at least one current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in one of the US States, Territories, or Possessions and who has a current certification in BLS.

SIN 621-027 Registered Pharmacist:
Non-Personal or Personal Services for Registered Pharmacists holding at least a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Program. Both must be accepted by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education. These pharmacists hold at least one current, unrestricted license from any U.S. State, Territory, or Possession and who have BLS or CPR.

SIN 621-030 Physician Assistant:
Non-Personal or Personal Service for a Physician Assistant who is a graduate from a Physician Assistant Training Program accredited by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and the Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) and who holds a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in one of the U.S. States, Territories, or Possessions and who has a current certification in BLS.

SIN 621-039 Certified/Registered Medical Assistants:
Non-Personal or Personal Services for Medical Assistants holding Certification or Registry and are graduates of an approved Medical Assistant Training Program and who have BLS or CPR.

Additional Professional and Ancillary Healthcare Staffing Services will continue to be added to FSS Contract # V797-4199a in the near future.
